This listing is for the used newsstand comic book shown, which is in very low-grade condition. There are defects like nicks, spine roll, bends, stains, edge tears, writing, browning pages, and lots more wear.

The comic is from January 1977, and it is complete as far as the story is concerned. I would consider it a reader copy in bad shape but with lots of life left to it. Dave Cockrum drew the cover, Bill Mantlo wrote the story, and Bob Hall did the artwork inside of the comic. The issue features a battle between Hercules and Ghost Rider.

Darkstar, Laynia Petrovna, joins the Champions team. There is the first appearance of Brackett. Some of the neat ads are for the Six Million Dollar Man, a section under "Stan Lee's Soapbox, " picturing the cover of Ms.

Marvel #1, as well as some information on the character. There is a neat Hostess Fruit Pies ad that has The Incredible Hulk.
